Early 20th Century Naive Plane Carousel Ride, Two Tone Body
A fantastic childrens plane, taken from a carousel ride.
The sheet metal body with two tone, red and cream paint, dissected with a black stripe, fitted with wooden wings, crudely screwed to the body, a propellor to the front and a steering wheel to the cockpit.
The wooden wheels fitted to the bottom bracket which would otherwise be attached to the ride, along with the foot at the back of the plane.
The internals showing the woodwork used to give strength to the item, as well as the wooden seat for the rider.

1780's Chinese Provincial Elm Occasional / Hall Table
Original 1780's Chinese Provincial Elm Occasional / Hall Table, Stunning Example Made in the 1780's, this solid Elm table is completely elegant in its design, with charming, simple joints, and naive assembly. The top, like the rest of the table, is made from Elm, and features single slab, enveloped with further elm planks, all of which show their age, with notches and losses, throughout, and featuring the tops of the mortise and tennon joints, used to join the top to the legs. Below, these four legs are of cylindrical form, and are united with cross-stretchers for added strength, below a hand carved, stepped apron, which runs down either length of the item. A perfect size for a hallway, this table looks divine with ornaments, and is a good, usable height.
19th Century Anglo-Indian Carved Oak Cabinet on Stand
The rectangular top with moulded, intricately carved edge and featuring a raised gallery back, with matching carved extremities.
The top leading to a pair of profusely carved cupboard doors, each with architectural arches, featuring raised pediments, centred with a floral pattern and surrounded further with floral and other designs, opening to reveal a fitted interior of four shelves to the right and a single full height cupboard.
Below the cupboard doors, is a pair of drawers, each with further carved designs and drop handles, raised above a moulded apron, and four shaped legs, each with carved reeding to the fronts and foliate sprigs to the side, terminating on scroll feet.

The rectangular top with bevelled moulded edge and rounded corners to the front, seated above an arrangement of four graduated long drawers.
The first drawer with a much more shallow depth than the base drawer.
Each with stunning butterflied veneer, and locking mechanisms.
This chest does come with its original key.
The carcass in the same manner as the top, with rounded front corners, and raised above four stile feet.

The hinged three plank top with moulded front and sides, featuring fabulous pokerwork detail of flowers, intersected with zig-zag detail, the interior of each intersecting line with further horizontal line detail. The lid opening to reveal the top of the body covered further with detailed, shaped carvings, an unusual attribute, the interior of simple nature.
The front with further intricate pokerwork detail, the top with central lock surrounded by a shaped escutcheon, flanked to either side with four panels of carved detail, above four further panels of decoration depicting fabulous intricate rearing dragons beneath stone archways with stepped pediments to the top of the columns. The sides with shaped plaques and carrying handles (one handle missing)
The bottom with a hole which has been later sealed with cork from the underside as photographed.

The buffet back with a moulded, dentil cornice above four leaded locking glazed doors, each pair opening to reveal an adjustable shelf and fixed bottom, with baize lining to the surfaces, leading to a shaped frieze below.
The top sits on the base with three shaped pillars to the front, and a solid board back.
The base with a similar layout to the top, with a thick plank top, above an arrangement of four locking cupboard doors, each with carved circle to the central panel, opening in pairs to reveal a single adjustable shelf and base, lined with further green baize, above a pair of long drawers. The circular drop handles with acanthus leaf decoration pulling out to discover further baize lined surfaces for protection.
Terminating on six shaped square legs.

The shaped back rail with midnight blue velour upholstery, edged with a purple piping, standing on a turned, reeded, ebonised and gilt heightened column to either side, the central splat with intricate carving to the base and shaped throughout, the centre unusual inlaid with a blue and white jasper ware plaque depicting a greek scene, surrounded with a rosewood frame, itself inlaid with four panels, intersected with stars.
The seat also inlaid with midnight blue velour and similarly piped with purple, raised above a wonderful rosewood frieze, again inlaid as the ovular panel was, with panels between each leg.
The front legs further detailed. The tops with square rosewood panels, centrally inlaid with a star, surrounded with three graduated squares, leading to the waisted, turned & tapering leg. Each ebonised throughout, with gilt heightened reeded detail from top to bottom, directed with a waisted band.
Raised on four ceramic casters.
A wonderful find left in 'As Found' condition.

The high back with curved top rail, above five Pine back boards, with five further curved rails to the back of the piece, the shaped, flared sides spanning from top to bottom, centrally united with the flat seat, each fitted with an arm rest above.
The bottom rail, to the inside, retains some of the original paint of the piece.
The back of the settle is in its original, untouched state, a rare find.

The square top above an arrangement of one long and two short drawers to the front, each fitted with a drop loop handle, the sides with a recessed panel, raised on four square legs.
The chest retains most of its original paint throughout, with wonderful patina, the drawers however have remnants of the wonderful, original chinoiserie figural paintings.

A Mid 19th Century Indian Polychrome Painted Screen Divider
The shaped pieced, carved top rail, decorated with pineapples and scroll work throughout, the centre tapering down to either side, raised above the plain frieze, leading to 11 shaped, vertical splats, each behind the shaped, carved apron, itself featuring floral and scroll carvings throughout, edged throughout with an undulating, shaped beading. Below is a central, full width pierced panel, the centre with a cross, flanked to either side with two short and one long rectangular piercing, with circles to either end of each rectangle.
The last panel consists of eleven pierced, shaped splats, each pierced wit three circles, divided with opposing heart shapes.
The legs with a finial to the top, above a variety of turned rings, a large section of barley twisting, and balusters, terminating on an outswept foot to either side, itself featuring scroll work carving.
The screen is painted throughout with red, green, blue and gold, typical of Indian colour schemes

Raised on a pair of carved trestle end supports, united to the base with a central stretcher, again, the deeply carved point throughout the leg and stretcher featuring partial original paint, terminating on shaped, reeded feet.

The rectangular hinged lid with moulded edge lifting to reveal the open interior, the front featuring a pair of recessed carved panels, each featuring intersected lattice work around recessed naive diamonds, flanked to either side and divided with a vertical column, each with further recessed panel decoration, above an incised 'X'
Below is a protruding shaped moulding above two short drawers, each with a central turned pine handle over further shaped recessed panels, and flanked to either side, as well as centrally, with a smaller version of the carving featured on the drawer fronts themselves, Terminating on a breakfront plinth base.
The sides with recessed panel to the top section with a black painted drop handle,, above the protruding moulding which wraps around from the front, above an empty panel and the plinth base.
