Gerard Dereux


​Biography

Gerard Dureux was a French artist, painter and sculpture born in Paris, France in 1940. He studied at the Beaux Arts and the Arts appliques in Paris in the late 1960's where he was taught by the well known Roger Plin. Sadly, Gerard died in 2014 through ill health.
​
During his career, he produced primarily Nudes, but also Landscapes , Still Life and People.
His art took many forms including Bronze, Clay, Stone and Wood Sculptures, Oil paintings, Watercolour, Sanguine, Charcoal, Pencil and Crayon.
