Marj Bond
Biography
Marj Bond RSW is a highly esteemed figure in the Scottish arts and her work is in many private and public collections, including The Perth Art Gallery Museum, The University of Edinburgh, The BBC Collection and Art in Healthcare.
She says: "I live in the Kingdom of Fife opposite The West Lomond - All its moods fill my vision - its tones of grey and green and mists, also brilliant light and shadow formedby the low lying sun in winter.Recently figures are appearing in my paintings - Most recently Mary Queen of Scots who haunts this area and its history. When painting I achieve textures I want by using collage and different papers.
I was elected as a member of The Paisley Art Insitute in 2014, and have won awards including The Thyne Scholarship and the May Marshall Award (RSW).
Marj exhibits regularly at the RGI, RSW, RGA, PAI, SSA, VAS and many other invited & members exhibitons.
