The piece  has a very thin body with a shouldered section in the centre, rising to a very wide flared flat rim, quintessential of the Hans Coper design.

The vase is glazed throughout with a grey mottled glaze which thins in areas to create a wonderful effect.

The vase is signed to the base with a ‘LP’ (unknown)
