Made in the 1820's / 1830's, this solid Elm table is completely elegant in its design, with charming, simple joints, and naive assembly.

The top, like the rest of the table, is made from Elm, and features single slab, enveloped with further elm planks, all of which show their age, with notches and losses, throughout, and featuring the tops of the mortise and tennon joints, used to join the top to the legs.

Below, these four legs are of cylindrical form, and are united with cross-stretchers for added strength, below a hand carved, stepped apron, which runs down either length of the item.

A perfect size for a hallway, this table looks divine with ornaments, and is a good, usable height.

Height - 84cm
