Heskel Joory was born in 1925 and died in 2015 at the age of 90.
Joory studied art at the Academia di Brera in Milan and at the Academie Julian in Paris. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East and this clearly greatly influenced his style and palette.At the beginning of 1970, he arrived in England, after which his work was widely exhibited. He individually showed at the Bluecoat Gallery in Liverpool. The Tib Lane Gallery and Granada House in Manchester also showed his work, as well as the Park Square Gallery in Leeds. His work starts to be recorded in Britain in the early 1970's when he seems to have started to associate with artists such as Bratby.
His work has readily sold to a wide variety of collectors at home and abroad.
