Gorgeous 5 / Five Panel Back Inlaid Georgian Oak Settle, Stunning Wear
The settle features a five panel back, the central frieze and edges of each cartouche have been inlaid with darker oak.
The scrolling arms with wonderful patina and wear.
The turned front legs united with a solid oak stretcher to each other and the block carved rear legs.
The settle does need some work, the left arm has been crudely repaired and will need re-setting, the seat has been ply lined and the top rail has split to one end.
Once finished, this settle, I think, could easily be into four figures!
