20th Century Chinese Famille Verte Wucai Charger
The outer rim painted with a floral foliate band of red and yellow flowers housed within underglaze blue bands, leading to a second underglaze blue band, itself forming part of another band of decoration to the lope of the charger, this painted in four panels of stylised foliate and fish designs, divided by geometric pale designs, consisting of circular and star shapes, the inner well decorated profusely in enamels, depicting two Peacocks perched upon a prunus tree, featuring red enamel butterflies.
The underside with underglaze blue decoration wth four stylised areas of floral details, with a double foot rim, housing a Double Ring Six Character mark to the base reading ' Made during the Wanli Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty' although assumed to be not of the period
